A Special Analogue Delivery

It all began when I received my olive edition traveler's notebook (TN) last month - the TN accessories bug.

A standard traveler's notebook typically comes with one blank insert. I started using mine as a creative journal, drawing and writing when I could. And then an idea hit me: I could unleash my inner stationery nerd onto this blog. Doing so would require planning a schedule, to ensure I consistently posted quality content. Keeping all of my blog-related snippets together in my TN meant ordering more inserts! I might as well add a charm while I was at it, too.

My endless thought processes aside, the search for TN inserts (or refills, as they're also often called) led me to a number of different websites. I chose to purchase what I needed from Baum-kuchen and AsianVintageTN. Without further ado, here's what I got!

The package from Baum-kuchen arrived beautifully wrapped with a hand-written note inside, wishing me a happy summer. I ended up reusing some of this material to decorate my undated weekly insert, as you'll see later in this post.

The small order I placed with AsianVintageTN arrived in this fascinating little envelope. I cut a piece of it out to decorate my insert as well.

I bought the 5th anniversary TN stickers and an adorable charm dedicated to The Little Prince, one of my favorite books from childhood.

After I excitedly opened up all of the items, the next logical step was to try putting it together in my olive edition TN!

I placed the undated weekly insert after the blank insert the TN originally came with. I reused parts of the packaging to decorate the front of the insert, which I found to be a more unique way to embellish it than using my washi tapes.

The vintage charm was a perfect match for the olive leather, as the aged brass and the darker green came together beautifully.

Both stores were prompt in shipping my orders. Wakako from Baum-kuchen even sent me a personal email thanking me for my purchase, which was a nice touch. I'm looking forward to making good use of everything I purchased to keep my creativity flowing and this blog going.

What were some of your first TN inserts and what did you use them for? I'd be curious to know, so leave me a comment below!
